I take coffee seriously! So, when my old faithful coffee brewer started to have problems, it was time for a new one.
After a bit of hunting, I got the Cusinart Grind & Brew Thermal 10-Cup from Appliance Hut for $119 ($30 less than most places.) It has the crucial features as it grinds the beans, has a thermal carafe, and brews the coffee at the correct hot temperature (most coffee makers don’t.)
I also roast my own beans using the Fresh Roast Plus Bean Roaster from Sweet Maria’s. It’s $72.50 and it’s a no-brainer to use. Put in the beans. Turn on the timer.
Coffee from fresh roasted beans really is better. I don’t like Starbucks coffee anymore, as they practically burn the beans. With a roaster, you can get the beans exactly how you want them.
A roaster saves money too. Sweet Maria’s has dozens of green beans for sale, all meticulously and lovingly graded, and the price is about 50% of what you might pay for roasted beans.

[...] My new Cusinart coffee brewer is proving itself to be an excellent coffee maker. The coffee brews hot and stays that way, thanks to the thermal carafe. It has a 1-4 cup button which brews the water hotter for smaller amounts thus keeping the taste. Plus, it has a timer. So, I set it to go off just before we wake up, and if we sleeep late, no matter, the carafe keeps it hot (and not burned.) [...]
