The power of video and YouTube

Sometimes my political organizing life and my tech life intersect. Last Saturday was a prime example. We held an anti-Minutemen sidewalk protest in Hollywood at a Minutemen march.

LAPD brutally clubbed some of us, including four blows on two protestors who’d already been clubbed and were lying on the sidewalk.

Someone video’ed it. The video is on YouTube now and has been viewed over 5,000 6,000 times.

At the press conference announcing the lawsuits, our lawyer said, ‘the video speaks for itself.”

Video is a powerful medium indeed. Here’s the video.
