If you’re like me, you have way too many cords, adapters, plugs. Figuring out what they are can sometimes be problematic. Or maybe you have a bunch of them in the bottom of your gear bag and need to set up quickly.
Here’s an easy, cheap way to label them. Get some cable ties and cable tie plates. Total cost to do 50 plates – about $4, and mine came with the labeling pen too.
In the photo, the plates are at the bottom left, the ties at bottom right. Above the pen on the left are two ties, next to them is a plate.
Label the plate with the pen. Fasten it to a power cord with two ties. The HiPro adapter has a plate labelled “Bob laptop PC.” Now, I’ll always know what that adapter is for. Repeat as needed!

I tried unsuccessfully to find the cable tie plates locally that you used with your cable ties. I found plenty of different sizes and colors of the ties but no one knew what I was talking about when I asked for cable tie plates. So, I went online and searched a long time with no results. I also went to the website of All-States and could not find any prices or a way to order their products. I emailed them but have gotten no response. How did you buy yours?
Thanks.

I bought them at Fry’s a California electronics chain for geeks.
