Amazon’s database services will now be scalable to the enterprise level. It’s already being used as the back end to major business services, so the enterprise is next.
Scoble and Winer get it quite right, this is a paradigm-breaker. Let you back-end infrastructure be in the Amazon cloud, and save huge amounts of money doing so.
This could make Amazon a long-term buy-and-hold.
