My guess: The last minute talks this weekend will not result in a friendly deal, and Microsoft will not try an unfriendly takeover.

All of which leaves Yahoo where it was, a once-great powerhouse, now slipping noticeably. While their financial site remains one of the best, their email gets way too much spam. I mean, why is it that I get virtually no uncaught spam on GMail, and way too much of it on Yahoo Mail?

Microsoft still doesn’t really get it about the cloud, about doing everything online. But then Office is their major cash cow, isn’t it.? Apparently they want Yahoo for the advertising. But Google is already way ahead on Yahoo on that.
