Google vs. the real-time web

Twitter and Facebook are emerging as an alternative to the traditional [search] engine, which presents a big challenge to Google’s core business. As Larry Page admitted this week, the company finally gets that.

Interesting, isn’t it, that Google is the dinosaur here, and mocked the newcomers until they belatedly realized the threat was real.

if Twitter and Facebook improve their search engine, and no doubt they will, then Google may fall even further behind.
