The attempted hostile takeover of Yahoo by Microsoft is getting interesting. Rumors are flying. Does News Corp. want to make a bid too? Maybe a hedge fund? But neither of them have the money to simply buy Yahoo for $44 billion, and Microsoft does. They would have to borrow anything.

Google is screaming anti-trust, and they may have a point. Expect fireworks both here and in Europe over this.

What will Microsoft do with Yahoo if they do purchase it? Seems like they are trying to buy Yahoo now to block anyone else from getting it, something which smacks a bit of desperation.
