Stereotypes for users of websites

From Lalawag, pt. 1, pt. 2. Here’s a few.

Amazon: People buying books.

Barnesandnoble.com: Barnes & Noble employees.

AOL home page: People who don’t get how the web works.

4chan: Kids pretending to be hackers, hackers pretending to be kids, reporters pretending to be kids pretending to be hackers, child predators, child-predator predators, Han Solo.

Yahoo: 40 million soccer moms and one guy who’s really confused about where the directory of the internet went.

Flickr: People who think cranking saturation to 200% makes you a professional photographer.

TechCrunch: People who think they are too smart to read Mashable.

eFax: JUST LET ME SEND THE GODDAMN FAX ALREADY WHAT CENTURY IS THIS.

LinkedIn: Pretty much everyone, so give up and apply at McD’s.
